Intercat is a collection of electronic resources for learning about Catalan language and culture, specially designed for students on mobility programmes who are visiting Catalan universities.

Catalan is a Romanesque language, that is, it belongs to the group of languages that developed from Latin.
Eduardo and Sandra have come to Catalonia from Mexico, Jeremy and Ludovic from France, Alba and Anna from Aragon, Paula from Argentina and Mirco from Italy. They have all chosen to work, research or study at the University of Lleida, but above all, they’ve come for the experience.
We spoke to students and lecturers at URV from Peru, Colombia, Madrid, Saragossa, France, Germany, Brazil... and many more places! Some are from close by, some from further away, but they all chose the same destination: Catalonia. You know all those things you mustn’t miss when you’re in Tarragona? They’ll tell you all about them!
What’s their experience of Catalonia, university, fellow students, lecturers and administrative and international services staff? They each have their reasons, their viewpoints and their concerns. They are each developing their own personal and professional projects, but they also have much in common: Catalonia, Catalan and the UPC are just three examples. Paola, Yuri and Ruth tell us about it in this video.
What do the UB’s international students and lecturers like about Catalonia? Carina, Ander, Pavel, Nagore, Lidia, Bárbara, Giaime, André, Monika, Alexandra, Rossella and Renée are very clear on the subject!
